Peppol at a Belgian tire company
All for One has launched an e-invoicing solution for the Belgian subsidiary of a global tire manufacturer. The project demonstrates how SAP integration with Peppol can support mandatory electronic invoicing in large international manufacturing organizations.
All for One has launched an e-invoicing solution for the Belgian subsidiary of a global tire manufacturer. The project demonstrates how SAP integration with Peppol can support mandatory electronic invoicing in large international manufacturing organizations.
Adapting SAP to mandatory e-invoicing in large manufacturing organizations goes far beyond the technical transmission of documents. It is part of a broader process that encompasses ERP data, business partner management, status monitoring, compliance with local regulations, and continuity of finance operations.
These objectives guided the implementation of an e-invoicing solution for the Belgian branch of a global tire manufacturer. The system is now live and supports the exchange of electronic invoices in a format compliant with Peppol requirements.
This is another project that demonstrates All for One’s expertise in SAP compliance and international e-invoicing. The implementation was carried out for a manufacturing organization operating in a complex SAP environment, where invoicing is part of a broader process encompassing sales, logistics, procurement, and finance.
Peppol in a large-scale organization
The tire industry is an example of a business characterized by large-scale operations, intensive document exchange, and complex relationships with customers and suppliers. In such an environment, mandatory e-invoicing cannot be treated as a separate, isolated technical requirement. It must be integrated into the day-to-day operation of the ERP system and finance processes.
The solution implemented by All for One enables SAP-Peppol integration via the All for One E-Invoice HUB. The hub acts as an integration layer for exchanging electronic documents with various B2B and B2G platforms, eliminating the need to create multiple separate connections for each scenario.
In practice, this means:
- SAP integration with the Peppol e-invoice exchange process,
- support for structured electronic documents,
- the ability to monitor statuses and messages,
- preparing the architecture for upcoming e-invoicing requirements in Europe,
- drawing on experience from over 120 All for One KSeF implementations for companies using SAP.
Reduced complexity with the “mandatory + PDF” approach
In Peppol All for One projects, the “mandatory + PDF” approach is used. The electronic structure maps the data required by regulations and the e-invoicing standard, while additional business context can be provided in the form of a human-readable PDF attachment. This approach helps reduce the complexity of data mapping, shorten the analysis phase, and provide a more convenient experience for the document recipient.
E-invoicing as part of a compliance strategy
The go-live at a Belgian tire company demonstrates that SAP integration with Peppol can be implemented in a scalable and secure manner, including in large international manufacturing organizations.
For companies with subsidiaries in different countries, it is now crucial not only to comply with individual local requirements, but also to establish an architecture that is ready for future regulatory changes. Belgium, Poland, France, Spain, and other European markets differ in the details, but the overall trend remains the same: electronic invoicing is becoming the standard.
All for One supports clients in adapting SAP systems to local legal requirements, with a particular focus on e-invoicing, Peppol, and SAP integrations with B2B and B2G platforms. Our project experience, in-house integration hub, and Peppol certification enable us to carry out such implementations both locally and in international environments.
