Elite Poland – the manufacturer of Pedros coffee based in Swadzim near Poznań – started using R/3 SPRINT – a preconfigured SAP R/3 system for medium-size companies. Elite is the first company using this system.
R/3 SPRINT prepared by BCC (Business Consulting Center) is a preconfigured version of SAP R/3 system suited to quick implementation in medium-size companies. R/3 SPRINT includes solutions within the following SAP R/3 modules: financial accounting (FI), controlling (CO), fixed assets management (FI-AA), treasury management (TR), material management (MM), sales and distribution (SD).
The implementation process carried out by BCC started in July 2000. As scheduled, the system was first used at the beginning of January 2001. According to Robert Dachtera, BCC project manager "Very good preparation of the Client for the implementation process has contributed to the fact that the implementation of R/3 SPRINT in Elite was done in an exemplary way. The implementation of R/3 SPRINT was regarded by Elite as a priority undertaking."
Elite project manager, Maciej Suliga, provides his own assessment: "R/3 SPRINT implementation methodology used in our project made it possible to substantially shorten the time of implementation. However, it should be stressed that it was possible also thanks to very good preparation of BCC consultants and BCCs experience in the organisation and management of so complex undertakings as implementation of integrated information systems."
