A company’s website is a business card, where you can present yourself to current and potential clients and business partners. The career section of the website, in turn, is designed to attract talents, providing not only information but also showcasing the company’s spirit and good vibe. The objective is to make candidates browsing the website think, “Yes, I want to work here, with these people,” and decide to apply.

The team responsible for talent acquisition at Play decided it was time to refresh the company’s career website to better serve this purpose. All for One Poland was the partner responsible for developing the concept and launching the kariera.play.pl website.

Product design workshops, UX/UI

Work began with workshops aimed at developing the website project assumptions and designing the user experience and a preliminary interface (product design, UX/UI redesign). The workshops were attended by recruiters and other individuals responsible for talent acquisition at Play, as well as a UI/UX specialist from All for One.

Initially, general assumptions were defined – what company image should be created in the eyes of candidates (a modern technology company, a good and stable employer, opportunities for professional growth, and interesting, authentic people working here). Another element was analyzing and mapping the “user journey” – what the user experience should be like. It was also defined what types of candidates the website should attract. The next issue was the visual aspect: how the website should look (consistent with the company’s corporate identity and website style). Finally, the content and information architecture were designed, down to the level of section titles and button text.

One of the important assumptions was the use of multimedia elements (short videos featuring employee testimonials, linked by the company motto “We Play better”). The videos were placed in a smartphone mockup, which perfectly reflects the essence of Play’s business.

Job search

A key part of the career website is the search engine for current job postings. Candidates can filter job postings by position (a keyword is sufficient), or location, or browse by job area. The website also provides contact information for recruiters who will guide candidates through the entire recruitment process – from submitting an application, through interviews, to the final response.

Integration with eRecruiter and Google Analytics

Like many other companies, Play uses an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) to plan, manage, and automate recruitment; in this case, the eRecruiter solution. It serves as a central recruitment management console that is integrated with the career portal. New job postings entered into eRecruiter automatically appear on the website with appropriate selection and search parameters.

Integration with Google Analytics enables collection of information about user activity on the website, their journey through successive sections, and time spent on the website. In the long term, this data will provide useful input for even better content customization.

Website administrators are provided with the user-friendly and easy-to-use open-source content management system – CMS Payload.

The landing page and search engine were built using the Next.js full-stack framework. They use the open-source MongoDB database, recommended for building highly available and scalable applications.

Project management

The project was implemented within an agile Scrum framework, with work divided into two-week sprints and a full set of Scrum events (ceremonies) for each sprint (sprint itself, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective). This enabled regular review of work results, rapid decision-making, and high process transparency – key benefits when the client is actively engaged at every stage of work.

Modern, engaging, intuitive

The new version of Play’s career website was launched in July 2025. The main benefits of the new website can be summarized as follows:

  • A refreshed and unified user interface aligned with Play’s visual identity, featuring animated elements that make the site more engaging and user-friendly.
  • A professional and trustworthy website that contains all the information a candidate needs and guides them along an easy and intuitive path.
  • An advanced search engine that allows filtering of current job offers.
  • Easy content updates and modifications thanks to the implementation of a user-friendly content management system (CMS) and access to analytics.

We achieved all our goals thanks to a well-executed needs assessment in the form of engaging workshops organized by All for One.

In the spirit of Play

Irmina German, Senior Recruitment Specialist at Play summarizes: “The career website is not only a place to publish current job postings but also a primary platform for communicating with job candidates. We decided to build our website completely from scratch to make it more modern, dynamic, and accessible to candidates. We wanted visitors to immediately feel the spirit of Play.

I believe we achieved all our goals thanks to a well-executed needs assessment in the form of engaging workshops organized by All for One. The website introduces our employees, invites visitors to learn more about the organization, and reflects the unique atmosphere that defines us.

A key element is the job search engine, which enables easy, enjoyable searching and navigation through job postings. The project combines branding and recruitment goals. It’s not just an attractive landing page. The website is integrated with our ATS, which was a key factor from the recruiter efficiency perspective."
