SAP ESS

SAP Employee Self-Service

SAP ESS (SAP Employee Self-Service) and SAP MSS (SAP Manager Self-Service) are solutions that enable employees and their managers to update or enter information themselves in SAP systems, using a web browser.

SAP ESS tools are most often used to support HR processes. With SAP ESS and SAP MSS, the following processes can be greatly improved:

  • working time management (planning and recording i.a. schedules)
  • business trip accounting
  • leave planning
  • personnel development planning
  • internal recruitment
  • employee appraisals
  • team management (e.g. budgeting of personnel costs)

In this way, employees reduce the workload of the company’s personnel department, which so far has been responsible for the overall management of personal information. Based on the data entered by employees, managers can make quicker and more accurate decisions, and HR specialists can focus on strategic tasks. Moreover, enabling employees to enter their own data contributes to their increasing awareness, deepens their sense of professional satisfaction and builds closer ties with the company.
